Virtual care is delivering, coordinating or managing care through telecommunication technologies (e.g., phone, video conference, fax or internet etc.). Throughout this pilot process, the legal and professional expectations of registrants will remain the same, regardless of the location or delivery of care.
Are you a nurse who wants to provide virtual care in Alberta? If so, the virtual care pilot project is accepting applicants from select employers in Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
To practise virtual care within Alberta as a registered nurse, nurse practitioner or certified graduate nurse, you need to complete this application.
Select registrants of the CRNA can join the program. Learn how to participate.
If you are a virtual care permit holder, there may be additional information you need to know to renew your permit year over year.
