Scope of Practice

The College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is committed to providing clarity about what is expected of its registrants. 

Patients, employers and registrants often have questions about how to interpret and apply legislation and the CRNA standards and guidelines to nursing practice. As health care evolves, the CRNA provides additional information to ensure: 

  • The public is protected.
