About CRNA

The College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is a regulatory college under the Health Professions Act (HPA). We partner with the Government of Alberta to protect the public interest and develop, monitor and enforce accountability mechanisms within Alberta’s health system.

Our Strategic Direction

Learn about the CRNA's vision of excellence in nursing regulation for the health of all Albertans and our mission of protecting and serving the public interest using Right-touch relational regulation.

Governance

The CRNA’s governance structure supports the Council in fulfilling its mandate by using a co-governance model with committees and clearly delegating authority. The Council assigns certain legislative responsibilities to three governance committees and six regulatory committees, which handle day-to-day work.
