It’s important for you to learn about the expectations of the profession, as all nurses are held to the standards of the profession. CARNA publishes a range of documents which are available on our document library. Please take some time now, and as you progress through your career to review the standards and guidelines. These will continue to support and guide your nursing practice throughout your career.
Should there ever be any questions about your practice, the documents in the document library would likely be part of the evidence used in determining whether or not your practice was consistent with the expected standards of a professional nurse.
