Privacy is an individual's:
- Right to determine what information about themselves may be collected, used, and disclosed.
- Right to be free from intrusion and interruption.
- Right to determine when, how, and to what extent that they want to share information about themselves with others.
Privacy can be defined as:
- The general right of the individual to be left alone, to be free from interference, from surveillance, from intrusion, and from interruption.
- An individual's right to determine what information about themselves may be collected, used, and disclosed.
- The right to determine when, how, and to what extent that they want to share information about themselves with others.
