WEBINAR: INCORPORATING THE PATIENT VOICE INTO HEALTH CARE

March 28, 12 -1 p.m. | Register
Heather Thiessen has been a chronically ill patient in and out of the Saskatchewan health-care system for the past 30 years. Seeing the good and the bad in health care spurred her quest to work closely with health-care providers and spark incredible changes.

Join us, as Heather shares how patient-centred care leads to a safer, seamless journey for patients and happier health-care providers

CASE STUDIES – BUT WHAT IS “THE ANSWER”?

Sometimes we’re asked why we haven’t provided “the answer” to the problem presented in our case studies. To provide “the answer,” we’d need to consider factors unique to every nurse and practice setting.

A case study is a snippet of time in a fictitious setting so what might be “the answer” in the case study may not have the same outcome if applied in your unique situation and work setting. The challenge for you is to consider your own unique situation, discuss the case studies with your colleagues, and determine “your answer”.

Do you have an idea for a case study? Would you like to be a case study reviewer on an as needed basis? Please contact the practice advisors at practice@nurses.ab.ca with your thoughts, ideas or questions. We look forward to hearing from you.
