Alberta RN magazine invites original articles (800 word maximum and written in plain language) on the following:
Your submissions should include a brief cover letter with the author's background and why the topic is relevant to registered nurses in Alberta. We also encourage supporting photos, data tables and illustrative graphics that may be used if space permits.
Research articles should be submitted as plain language abstracts. The articles should focus on the main purpose and methods of the study or research and provide a clear statement of the findings and their implications for nursing practice. We’ll also accept articles that deal with research in progress or projects that have yet to be launched under these guidelines. Please note, literature references may be listed in an accompanying bibliography, but not in the body of the article.
As with most magazines, the editor reserves the right to edit all articles and makes the final decision on publication suitability. CARNA also reserves copyright for all articles published in Alberta RN magazine so reproduction without the written permission of the publisher is not allowed.
Letters should be a maximum of 300 words and include your name and city. Letters may be edited for length and clarity.
