To ensure their long-term preservation and improved access to the public, our items of historical interest have joined the Royal Alberta Museum and the Provincial Archives of Alberta.
Their new homes are widely visited by the public and researchers, and have dedicated expertise and technology to keep the items preserved and enjoyed by future generations.
One special artifact has remained with us, a lamp that was used by Mary Stanley, Florence Nightingale’s partner in recruiting nurses to the Crimea.
Thank you to the members, former members, families and nursing groups who have donated their nursing items over the many decades. We are proud to have safeguarded them and want to thank those who entrusted us with items they held dear.
